Initiate

This phase announces the definitive start of the project. Project teams will be compiled, project roles will be assigned and specific project agreements will be made.  The roles and responsibilities of the different parties and the deliverables of every step will be set down for every project phase.

Deliverable at the end of the INITIATION PHASE:

  • PROJECT MANAGEMENT PLAN

Set Up

The objective is to provide the full definition of the system to be set up, its goals and the linked expected project result during this phase.

The provided processes are analysed in detail and verified based on the Objective standard functionality. These different processes are adjusted and/or improved where possible and relevant to increase efficiency and accuracy. Software adjustments are limited to a minimum to limit both the risks and costs of the project.

Deliverable at the end of the SET-UP PHASE: 

  • SOFTWARE REQUIREMENT SPECIFICATIONS
  • TEST SCRIPTS
  • SETUP PHASE - APPROVED 

Build

The functional requirements as described in the SRS are elaborated from a technical perspective in Objective.  Specific developments such as interfaces, specific labels, reports and screens are built based on the Objective building blocks.  

Deliverable at the end of the BUILD PHASE: 

  • OBJECTIVE SOFTWARE IS READY FOR INSTALLATION AT THE CUSTOMER
  • SOFTWARE WAS FURTHER TESTED INTERNALLY BY OBJECTIVE

Transition

The final solution is installed, key users are trained, testing takes place, end users are trained and, after approval of the user acceptance testing, the system is ready for start-up.

Deliverable at the end of the TRANSITION PHASE: 

  • UAT CERTIFICATE
  • GO LIVE PLAN

Closure

The solution is commissioned.  A number of employees can be present during the start-up in order to supervise and support the start-up on the work floor.

Objective Support will be briefed and trained with regard to the implemented Objective environment so that continuity is assured.

The project will be assessed and final acceptance will take place a month after going live.
